My mother, Tricia Tanassy, was an extremely talented illustrator. Among her belongings, I came across this drawing created in her signature style. It was likely made in the 1980s and immediately struck me as funny, poignant, and unforgettable. It may even be a self-portrait of sorts: a woman gazing into the mirror and seeing her inner canine reflected back.
