Tricia Tanassy "Bitch" Print
My mother, Tricia Tanassy, was an extremely talented illustrator. Among her belongings, I came across this drawing created in her signature style. It was likely made in the 1980s and immediately struck me as funny, poignant, and unforgettable. It may even be a self-portrait of sorts: a woman gazing into the mirror and seeing her inner canine reflected back. There is something so clever, strange, and charming about it, the kind of illustration that stays with you. As I write this, my mother is in the end stages of Alzheimer’s, and I am offering this framed print in her honor. It is a way to celebrate her artistic voice and share a piece of her work with others who appreciate illustration, humor, and art with real personality. About this art: • Available in 5" x 7" + 8" x 10" • Paper is sourced from Japan Made to order: Each purchase helps support my work as an independent artist.
