The Defined Silhouette necklace showcases Mariko's dedication to natural materials and how she like to create with them in her distinctive design style. The classic pearl necklace is reinvented. The sharpness of the baroque Akoya pearls stands out when worn against the skin. She has included a few spiky Akoya pearls and through this combination, a fresh take is produced. Mariko sourced the pearls from a local pearl farm near Nagasaki and her hometown, where she visits once a year, seeing how the pearls are grown and to speak with the farmers. With a delicate fusion of handcrafted designs and responsibly-sourced pearls, Mariko’s creations embody the essence of tranquil beaches from her youth, and the raw beauty of Brighton’s untamed shores, where she now resides. *Please note that each pearl is unique.
