Women Platform Workers Shared Demands

Women platform workers are disproportionately concentrated in the lowest‑paid, least protected, and most precarious segments of the platform economy, particularly in feminised sectors such as care, domestic work, beauty, home‑based digital work, and location‑based services. In the Global South, and especially in areas marked by high informality, racialisation, and migration, platform work frequently replaces rather than supplements formal employment.
