MK Community Choirs’ Festival

THE EVENT: MK Community Choirs’ Festival 2026 We’ve been invited by the fabulous Craig McLeish (founder of MK Community Choir and Young Voices Musical Director) to take part in the MK Community Choirs’ Festival this year. We’ve never done it before and it’s going to be a wonderful chance to sing alongside other local choirs. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the music, explore community stalls, and sample food from local vendors. A chance to bring your friends and family (and a picnic!) for FREE! DATE: Saturday 13th June 2026 TIME: Our performance time is 6:20pm although we’ve been invited to sing along with The Big Yellow Choir at 5:15pm. Ideally please arrive for 5:00pm. PERFORMANCE DETAILS: Choir members to arrive on site at our allocated time and we’ll perform a 20 minute set SONGS: Reach Out I’ll Be There, Never Gonna Not Dance Again, Runaway, Our House & Kings Of Pop Medley At 5:15pm we are also invited to join the BIG YELLOW CHOIR from Electric Umbrella (previous BGT Golden Buzzer Winners!) in their final 2 songs. This is optional but we encourage you to take part. Only join if you can but it will be amazing! You can just do the tune if you like.. Here are the two songs you need to learn and I’ve created a Google Drive folder so you can have a listen. NO SUCH THING AS NORMAL TRY SMILING Pick the vocal part you feel most comfortable with and GO FOR IT! It’ll be great fun if you fancy it! Do check for parking charges though. UNIFORM: The Collaboration Choir uniform colour palette is: Navy, Teal & White CLOTHING: If you have a Collaboration Choir T-shirt please wear it with dark navy jeans or dark navy trousers. No leggings please. If you don’t then a white, navy or teal top of any kind is okay. White shirts are also fine! These can be in dark navy denim, plain navy or white. No black bottoms please. FOOTWEAR: Please wear plain navy shoes. Navy, white or silver trainers are also welcomed with matching plain socks. Feel free to wear sparkly trainers. Think comfortable chic! JEWELLERY & EXTRAS: Silver jewellery preferred — sparkle if you like! It’s an outdoor event without any holding / backstage area so please only bring what you can carry on your person (bum bag / across the body bag recommended).
