Ocean Jasper Palmstone | 7.3cm | Madagascar Acquired from an old private collection, this is one of the more quietly extraordinary pieces in the group. The base colour is a pale lilac, soft and cool, scattered with small orbs that sit delicately across the surface with just hints of pink and yellow breaking through. But the feature that makes this piece genuinely special is a larger area of translucent green quartz that appears to have captured white orbs within it — as though the orbs were forming and the quartz grew around them, preserving them mid-process. The whole area is druzy, sparkling with tiny crystalline texture that catches the light from every angle. It is the kind of geological detail that is difficult to fully describe and even harder to photograph. In person it has a depth and luminosity that makes it feel more like a window into the stone than a surface.
