Antique 9ct Yellow Gold Oval Engraved Locket Pendant

A fine antique locket pendant, oval in shape, intricately engraved with floral patterns and the monogrammed initials "F.P." to the front. The locket is hallmarked on the back, and has a discreet engraving to one side which reads "XMAS 1911" - a sweet message giving a glimpse into its past. Inside, the locket has space for two photos. Hallmarked as 9 carat gold with a Birmingham assay stamp. The date letter is unclear but we believe it to be 1910. Maker's mark "J.M". The locket measures approximately 34.6mm (L) x 22.4mm (W).
