Launch price: $695 USD The Story Behind 100 ICONS This one feels really special to share. After 10 years of painting icons, I created 100 ICONS — a limited edition print that brings together 100 of my Big Eyes portraits from the last decade into one special collector’s piece. My first icon portrait was Jackie Kennedy. One of my most recent was Catherine O’Hara, painted as part of my Canadians in the Round collection. In between are 10 years of music, movies, comedy, fashion, glamour, commissions, collectors, and so many memories that still make me smile. For me, these portraits have never just been about famous faces. They’re about the songs they sang, the characters they played, the movies and shows that take us back, and the nostalgic moments that stay with us. Some of these portraits began as commissions. Some became collector favourites. Some were icons I simply had to paint. Many of the original paintings are now living in beautiful homes, and some are still waiting for that special connection. But in this print, they all come together. 100 icons. 10 years. One special collector’s print. A Decade of Big Eyes When I first started painting icons, I was inspired by Andy Warhol’s square close-up portraits and the boldness of pop art. Over the years, my Big Eyes style continued to evolve — from my earlier fashion illustration brushstrokes into cleaner outlines, brighter colour, more expressive details, and a joyful pop-art feeling that has become such a meaningful part of my work. It’s almost impossible to choose favourites, but Twiggy, Warhol, Prince, The Beatles portraits, and my black-and-white Audrey Hepburn still stand out in my mind. Elton John as Rocketman also surprised me by becoming one of my most loved prints for years, and I think it’s because he brought back such joyful memories for so many people. That has always been the best part for me — seeing how these icons make people smile. Why I Created This Print 100 ICONS is my love letter to 10 years of painting the people, performances, music, movies, characters, and moments that shaped memories for so many of us. It is a conversation piece. A memory piece. A collector’s piece. The kind of print you can look at again and again and keep finding someone new. I hope it brings back a song, a scene, a laugh, a memory, or that happy little moment of recognition when you spot someone you love. Thank you for being part of this journey. I truly couldn’t do what I love without the collectors, clients, and art lovers who have supported my work along the way.
