Vasse Felix DHH1 Single Plot Chardonnay 2024

Winemaker of the Year 2026, James Halliday Wine Companion A new single plot (it’s been DHJ1 previously so moving a few rows for this, I guess). An exceptional wine regardless. Super savoury yet powerful in a Gingin-clone way, plus it's beautifully fruited and open, as wines in the ’24 vintage seem to be. A combo of grapefruit, lemon and white nectarine, loads of ginger (both freshly sliced and powder) and some saline/brininess, with nutty, creamy lees adding another layer of definition to the palate.
