American Mah Jongg Beginner Lesson
Come learn American Mah Jongg at Sparrow's Nest! American Mahjong, despite being an approximately 100 year old game, is quickly becoming a more popular activity in the United States. Lots of synagogues, churches, community centers, and parent groups hold open play sessions and tournaments. This mahjong lesson teaches you the game while also letting you get hands-on experience, all in a beginner friendly way! No prior knowledge is needed. All materials will be provided during the class, and it can be conveniently scheduled 4 days a week. This lesson will teach you basics such as getting to know the tiles, setting up the game, and the basic rules of how to form hands. Those looking to continue further with practice and building skills can take the Intermediate lesson.
