O Fillo da Condesa Albarino 2024 (Rias Baixas, Spain)

The beautiful stone Lagar da Condesa winery is located in the Salnès Valley, a sub-region of Rias Baixas named after the salt flats that once covered this area. Often referred to as “Green Spain,” this lush region sees six times the rainfall of the rest of the country. Nestled between warm ocean winds from the Atlantic and the towering mountains of the Galician Massif, the region is famous for its refreshingly breezy, verdant white wines. The grapes for this Albariño are handpicked in small baskets before being fermented in stainless steel tanks, which helps preserve the fruit’s vibrant acidity. We get notes of white peach and juicy citrus with a hint of fresh thyme and a salty, minerally kiss of sea spray on the finish.
