Newman directed crime film noir melodrama presented in a semi-documentary style popular at the time, about the baby adoption racket, which was a very real thing in the 1940s! starring Dennis O'Keefe, Gale Storm, and Jeff Chandler, with Meg Randall, Raymond Burr and Marjorie Rambeau.
