Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Filter The Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Filter raises the pH of acidic well water to neutral, which stops the corrosion behind blue-green stains, pinhole leaks and metallic-tasting water. It pairs the Pentair Fleck 2510 valve and new AiQ controller with a bed of calcite, or a calcite/Corosex blend for lower pH. As water flows through, the calcite dissolves just enough to neutralize the acid, and it slows down as pH reaches neutral, so it won't over-correct. A scheduled backwash keeps the bed loose, which prevents the packing and channeling common in non-backwashing tanks. Warranty: 5 years on the Fleck 2510 AiQ valve head and 10 years on the tank. Choose Your Media Calcite Calcite / Corosex Blend Best For Mildly acidic water, about pH 6.0–6.8 More acidic water, about pH 5.5–6.5 How It Works Calcium carbonate slowly dissolves to raise pH Adds fast-acting magnesium oxide (Corosex) to the calcite Over-Correction Risk Low, because calcite is self-limiting Moderate, so check pH after startup Hardness Added Some calcium Calcium and magnesium What's Included Fleck 2510 AiQ Backwash Control Valve Pentair Mineral Tank with Gravel Underbed Calcite or Calcite/Corosex Media (ships separately, loaded on site) 3/4" Stainless Steel Bypass Valve 50' Clear Poly Drain Line Media Funnel Free Replacement Parts for Life 5 Year Warranty on Valve Head (10 Years on Tank) Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Key Features Raises Low pH to Neutral: Protects copper pipes, fixtures and water heaters from acidic corrosion. Self-Limiting Calcite: Dissolves only as needed, so pH levels off near neutral. Corosex Blend Option: Handles more acidic water, down to about pH 5.5. Self-Cleaning Backwash: The AiQ valve lifts and rinses the bed on schedule, so it won't pack or channel. Full-Color AiQ Display with Quick Start Menu: Plain-language menus and fast setup. USB-C Port and Benchtop Programming: Program before installation, update software, and pull usage history and diagnostics. Modular Powerhead: 4-step teardown, easy grip handle and a backplate hook for service. NEMA 3R / IP54 Rated: Built for garages, basements, well houses and wet locations. How the Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Works Neutralize: Acidic water flows down through the calcite bed. The media dissolves slowly and raises pH toward neutral. Backwash: On a set schedule, the AiQ valve reverses flow to lift and loosen the bed and flush fine particles to drain. Rinse and Top Up: A fast rinse resettles the bed. Calcite is used up gradually, so you top it up periodically. Neutralizing adds a little hardness. If your water is already hard, add a Fleck 2510 AiQ Water Softener after the neutralizer. It raises the pH of acidic water to neutral. Low-pH water eats away at copper pipes, leaves blue-green stains, and can give water a metallic taste. Calcite or calcite/Corosex blend? Use calcite for water around pH 6.0–6.8. Choose the blend for more acidic water, around pH 5.5–6.5. Corosex works faster, so check your pH after startup. Will a calcite filter over-correct my pH? Calcite is self-limiting: it stops dissolving as water nears neutral. The Corosex blend is stronger, so the blend ratio matters on water that's only mildly acidic. Does a calcite neutralizer add hardness? Yes, some calcium, plus magnesium with Corosex. On hard water, put a water softener after the neutralizer. How often do I add calcite? Calcite is used up as it works, so the bed shrinks over time. Check the level periodically and top it up as needed. Why a backwashing calcite filter? Backwashing keeps the bed loose and flushes out fines. That prevents the packing and channeling that can let acidic water slip through. What's the warranty? 5 years on the Fleck 2510 AiQ valve head and 10 years on the tank.
