Drosera binata ‘Octopus’ – A Giant Fork-Leaf Monster Drosera binata ‘Octopus’ is a seriously impressive fork-leaf sundew created by Christian Klein from a cross between Drosera binata var. binata and Drosera binata var. dichotoma. As it matures, the leaves become enormous and fork again and again, eventually forming a spectacular branching structure that can produce around 28 sticky tips. Fully grown, this thing really does earn the name Octopus. The leaves can spread to around 30 cm across, creating a wild mass of glistening, insect-catching arms that look more like giant antlers than a typical sundew. Even the flower stalks can be impressive, reaching close to 1 metre under good conditions. Stunning to behold, unless your a fly. Then your about to have a very very bad day. 🪰😄
