3.0–3.15mm Sapphire — Set (3) — Mixed Blue & Teal Tones These 3.0–3.15mm Sapphires have a beautiful mix of medium-toned denim blue, steel blue and deep teal-blue hues, with subtle greenish and grayish undertones. Their cooler, more muted colors offer a lovely alternative to traditional royal blue sapphires. Some stones display natural inclusions and color zoning, adding depth and individual character. Their faceting creates lively flashes of blue and green, making them wonderful accent stones for a variety of jewelry designs. Sapphire is a variety of corundum, prized for its exceptional hardness, durability and beautiful range of colors. Although best known for its classic blue varieties, sapphire occurs in nearly every color of the rainbow. Its blue color is primarily produced by trace amounts of iron and titanium. Sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, making it an excellent choice for many jewelry applications.
