Moates Lane 2026 Rosé Dozen
COLOUR: Clean, clear shimmering light salmon pink with soft blueish hues. NOSE: Vibrant aromas of pink grapefruit, cranberry and fresh pick strawberry. PALATE: Clean soft dry medium bodied flavours of red cherry, violets and tangy raspberry with a a balanced vein of acidity across the palate. Finishing with a moderate length of rose petal and green herb. WINEMAKING: Made entirely from our original Block C 1972 planted Cabernet Sauvignon on own roots. Harvested fruit was destemmed and deposited uncrushed to the wine press. Early light pressing resulted in softly coloured juice with full flavour expression. Fermentation was clean and cool as for white wines, and bottled early. FOOD PAIRING: Either a Prawn, Mango & Avocado salad or a Charcuterie board with cured meats. VINTAGE NOTES: Cool temperatures experienced through bud burst and flowering reduced overall crop potential across most varieties, from 2025. Being a drier year, organic fungicide sprays were restricted to typical sulphur application (Powdery Mildew). The growing season overall was clean, warm and dry. Autumn temperatures dipped on cue, with clean fruit harvested across all varieties with good flavour profile, and some standouts
