Its Next-to-Skin fit places the fabric close to the body, where it can manage moisture and provide warmth without a loose layer bunching beneath your trousers. The fabric is Torrent stretch fleece, a brushed jersey weighing 185 g/m². The composition is 84% polyester and 16% elastane: polyester supports moisture movement and drying, while the elastane gives the fabric room to stretch as you bend. The brushed inner surface feels soft against bare skin. This is a breathable, quick-drying first layer, so its purpose is managing the climate beneath other clothing rather than protecting you directly from wind, rain or snow.
