Leaf Botanical Bauble

This bauble is mouth-blown in India for Arthur Cameron, part of the group that also owns Bollywood Christmas, and holds small dark stems and leaves within clear glass. It measures about 8cm across and hangs from a loop of natural jute.The stems and leaves are set into the glass during making and sealed beneath an outer layer, so the design sits within the wall of the bauble. Clear glass keeps the fine lines of the foliage easy to read against the tree, and the layering leaves small irregularities in the surface that vary from one bauble to the next.Of the three botanical designs we stock, this is the most restrained.How to Look After a Clear Glass BaubleClear glass shows dust and fingerprints more readily than coloured glass, so polish the bauble gently with a dry microfibre cloth before hanging it. Hang it by the jute loop on a branch strong enough to hold it without bending. For storage, wrap it in acid-free tissue and keep it in a box in a dry cupboard, since damp can mark the jute over time.
