Natural Dye Workshop at 1 Hotel Austin

October 10th from 1:30-3:30pm at 1 Hotel Austin (Rainey Street)* A beginner friendly exploration into the world of natural dyes. Create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf with plant based dyes and raw materials (flowers, barks, roots, bugs) using our signature eco-printing/bundle dyeing technique. We'll utilize steam to extract colors and natural imprints into the fabric and you'll leave with a special piece of wearable art. We recommend dressing in something you wouldn't mind *possibly* staining or an apron *Please arrive on site 10 minutes early to park and access the building About the Host: Carol is the co-owner and lead dye artist of Soul Studio. She has 30 years of experience working with textiles and a lifelong love of the natural world. Natural dyeing has a become a livelihood for her, as she's explored and shared the amazing world of natural dyes since 2016. Please note that tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person if you can’t attend.
