Enough

This piece feels like looking through a window that's fogged by memory. I don't just see colour and brushstrokes. I see a kitchen table where conversations lasted longer than meals. I see laughter echoing through old walls. I see people who have come and gone, and the home that's slowly being built around the life I'm creating now. It represents the safety of home, but for me it holds something even deeper. It captures the beautiful contradiction of building a life. The outside might look calm, collected and intentional, yet inside my mind there's always another project, another idea, another voice wondering whether I've done enough, achieved enough or whether I could have done it better. Every layered mark feels like a decision. Every scribble, a lesson. Every bold stroke, a risk I took anyway. I see my failures sitting quietly beside my accomplishments, neither cancelling out the other. Together they've built this home, this life and this version of me. Perhaps that's why this piece feels so safe. Home isn't where everything is perfect. Home is where every imperfect layer is allowed to exist together. For the first time in a very long time, I'm beginning to realise that maybe I don't have to earn the feeling of being enough. Maybe I just have to come home to it.
