Violin, single piece No. 4, mezzo-forte workshop Nobody can build this violin again. Not even us. Forged carbon is not woven. Short fibres are pressed into form under high pressure, and where any single fibre ends up is nobody's decision. The result looks like polished stone: organic, grown, never twice the same. The material is known from aerospace and motorsport. We build violins from it, and each one gets a surface that exists exactly once. This one is No. 4. Entirely black, from the body to the head. No contrast, no accent, nothing to distract from the pattern. Inside sits the full mf | solo setup. Anima Nova carbon sound post, Milo Stamm Royal bridge fitted individually, Wittner fine tuning pegs with Swarovski detail and Pirastro Perpetual Cadenza. The result is a violin with a soloist's character: precise, carrying, and with a warmth you would not expect from this material. The Cordasonus pickup is built in. A proprietary treated crystal from a German ceramics technology company sits in the bridge and registers pressure changes there and nothing else. Acoustically this changes nothing: unplugged it sounds exactly like a violin without a pickup. Connects through a 6.3 mm jack, no battery, rotates in the bridge in 45 degree steps. Forged carbon carries no woven pattern but one that has grown. Once it is gone, it is gone.
