Choir Boy - Passive With Desire - Transparent Blue Color Vinyl Record

Choir Boy's Passive With Desire on transparent blue vinyl, a limited pressing of 300 copies from Dais Records. First released in 2016, it is the debut album from Adam Klopp's dream pop project, and the record that introduced his soaring, crystalline voice to the wider post-punk and synth-pop underground.Klopp wrote and produced every song, layering synthesizers, guitar, piano and sequencing into a nocturnal sound that nods to 1980s synth noir while feeling tender and wholly sincere. A full band fills out the arrangements, with Katrina Marie Ricks Peterson on vocals, Stephen Cope adding trumpet to "Sanitarium" and Alyssa Pyper's strings lifting "Angel Dog". Songs like "Two Lips", "Blood Moon" and the title song balance pensive sorrow with a glowing, hopeful heart.A gorgeous edition for fans of dream pop, new wave and melancholic synth-pop, and a fine way to start a Choir Boy collection.Side A 1.
