Watanabe Safety Jacket

Police-issue outerwear, reworked by Junya Watanabe MAN. This jacket is based on a police jacket, with fabric and pattern adapted by Junya Watanabe MAN. It comes from the collaboration with Spiewak, the New York workwear maker founded in 1904.The jacket is cut from 100% cashmere with a beaver finish. The surface is dense and soft, with a smooth nap and a deep, dark tone. A wide shearling collar adds warmth and a plush contrast to the clean lines of the body. It feels luxurious, yet it keeps the strict, practical spirit of uniform dressing.Functional details give the jacket its character. The front fastens with buttons. Two chest flap pockets close with buttons. Shoulder tabs with metal eyelets add a utility touch, and one tab is finished in leather. A button flap across the back adds structure. Zips at the sides of the hem allow easy movement. Inside, a quilted satin lining keeps the body warm, and an internal pocket holds small items.Made in Japan.
