Luis is a second-generation coffee producer with more than 40 years of experience. At Finca Villa Betulia in Acevedo, Huila, he has built a reputation for cultivating rare and exotic coffee varieties, including Gesha, and refining experimental processing methods. For this microlot, ripe Gesha cherries undergo anaerobic natural processing: fermented whole in sealed, oxygen-limited conditions before being dried with the fruit intact. This intensifies the coffee’s fruit character, sweetness, and wine-like complexity. A Jammy, round and complex cup. Raspberry jam and candy-like sweetness balanced with winey acidity and subtle florals that make this a very enjoyable and very interesting coffee.
