Commencal Supreme DH V5.2 XS – 2027 The Commencal Supreme DH V5.2 XS is an alloy downhill race mountain bike built for riders 148–160cm tall, with 220mm of rear travel, a 200mm dual-crown fork and 27.5″ wheels front and rear. The Supreme DH V5.2 XS gives smaller and younger riders the same World Cup-developed Supreme DH platform as the full-size bike, scaled to fit properly rather than compromised to a budget. A SCALED-DOWN WORLD CUP DH PLATFORM The Supreme DH V5.2 XS runs a triple butted 6066 alloy frame with 220mm of rear travel on a 250 x 75mm shock, a custom upper idler guide paired with an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount, and 27.5″ wheels at both ends rather than the full-size bike’s mullet setup. The frame weighs 5.3kg and keeps the full-size bike’s adjustability — a 4-position shock anchor and three rear-triangle stiffness options — with recommended shock sag of 20–25%. Why it matters: a lighter rider gets a genuine DH race chassis that actually fits, not a cut-down trail bike. THE BUILD The single build is RockShox Ultimate at both ends: a Boxxer Ultimate 27.5″ fork with the Charger 3.2 RC damper and a Vivid Ultimate DH shock with a 350lb spring fitted for the XS frame. Shifting is SRAM GX DH 7-speed with E13 Helix cranks and an E13 LG1+ chain guide, braking is SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston on 200mm HS2 rotors, and the wheels are DT Swiss F1900 Classic on 370 Classic LN hubs. A 740mm Ride Alpha bar, a direct-mount Ride Alpha DH stem and soft-compound Schwalbe Magic Mary front / Tacky Chan rear tyres complete it. SIZING & GEOMETRY The Supreme DH V5.2 XS comes in one size, XS, which suits riders 148–160cm (4′10″–5′3″) — Commencal lists it for riders around 11–12 years old. In the low geometry setting, reach is 401mm with a 63.9° head angle, a 76.4° seat tube angle, 442mm chainstays and a 1196mm wheelbase; the high setting steepens the angles by 0.4° and adds 4mm of reach. FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, a Press Fit BB107 bottom bracket, an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount with a custom upper idler guide, a 31.6mm seatpost with a 34.9mm clamp and a ZS56 headset. Rear hub spacing is 157 x 12mm, rear tyre clearance is 65mm, and the rear brake mount is postmount 200mm with a 223mm maximum rotor; the frame is piggy-back shock compatible and ICR compatible. The bike ships with down tube, chainstay and seatstay protectors and a fork fender.
