Twelve months with our perfume house later, here it is: rich, resinous oud softened by soft amber, finishing on a clean trail of soft woods. It settles in rather than shouting, so knitwear and coats come out smelling quietly expensive rather than smoky. When we put the finished scent in front of a focus group alongside the rest of the range, it came out as their favourite yet. This first run is a small batch — when it is gone, the next one is a few weeks behind it.
