Focal Bathys MG takes the company’s wireless headphone platform to a higher level with exclusive 40 mm pure-magnesium “M”-profile drivers, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.2 Multipoint and a high-resolution USB-DAC mode. It is a true high-fidelity headphone designed to travel. Pure Magnesium, Pure Focal The Bathys MG drivers are made in Focal’s workshops in France. Their lightweight magnesium domes are engineered for speed, detail and control, with powerful bass, an open and articulate midrange and clean, extended treble. ANC Without Giving Up Hi-Fi Eight microphones support Focal’s active noise-cancelling system, with Silent, Soft and Transparent modes for different environments. Bluetooth 5.2 Multipoint supports AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive and SBC, while the Focal & Naim app provides EQ, control and hearing-personalization features. 24-bit/192 kHz USB-DAC Connect Bathys MG by USB-C and its internal DAC supports PCM playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz. A 3.5 mm analog connection is also included for conventional wired sources. Built for Long Listening Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with Bluetooth and ANC, 35 hours using the 3.5 mm input and 42 hours in USB-DAC mode. A 15-minute fast charge provides about five additional hours of listening. Genuine leather, ergonomic foam earpads and an aluminium/magnesium yoke keep the 350 g design comfortable for extended sessions.
