El Pedrero | Honduras | Limited Release
Longer term buds might remember this farm, as this is not the first time we have featured coffee from El Pedrero! This time around we have opted for the washed process lot, which brings a clean, juicy flavour to our cups. Ernelio Ortiz owns and manages the farm in the Montecillos region of Honduras. The 12 hectare farm is almost completely covered in coffee, with an estimated 56,000 coffee trees on the farm. Our importer Cafe Imports spoke with Ernelio about the impact coffee has had on his life. He has a deep gratitude for how coffee has improved the life of his family. He also noted how his care for the environment on his farm has led to an increased quality of production, and as a result in our cups. This is a juicy yet bold coffee with plenty of fruit sweetness. It’s always great to bring back limited releases a few years on, to see how the farm has evolved.
