Fennel Romanesco is a late and hardy variety of bulb fennel, very productive. It produces large round bulbs weighing between 500 g to 1 kg with white, firm and thin flesh and a crunchy and tender texture. Its flavor is sweet and taste anise. This is a slow bolting variety. Scientific Name: Foeniculum vulgare Plant Life Cycle: annual Germination time in days: 7-20 days Sunlight: Full sun Soil requirement: Well-drained soil Sowing and cultivation: Sow directly outdoors from March to July into well prepared soil in a sunny spot when temperatures reach around 13-18C. Sow seeds thinly into drills 1 cm deep and 38 cm apart. When fennel seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 30 cm apart
