If Fall had an after-hours scent, this would be it. Mahogany, dark and dry, warmed with tonka and a ribbon of smoked vanilla. Rich without being sweet, smoky without smelling like a campfire. It’s the kind of scent that makes the first cool evening feel like an occasion. Windows open. Lights on earlier than they were last week. Something burning nearby, even if it’s only the incense.
