Floating Baffle Curtain
This Tough Guy® Type 1 DOT Floating Baffle Curtain is the barrier most frequently specified in the Tough Guy line. Six-inch square EPS floats keep it riding at the surface, and 1/4 in. galvanized chain ballast holds the weighted skirt straight down. It is built for sediment control on construction sites in protected water with light winds and currents under one foot per second. The skirt is 18.5 oz. per sq. yd. vinyl/polyester with all seams heat sealed. Flotation gives 13.5 lb./ft. of buoyancy in fresh water and 14.4 lb./ft. in saltwater. Brass grommets and rope-reinforced edges let you join sections with rope lacing or nylon ties, which are supplied separately.
