You should feel comfortable sewing with a pattern, using a machine independently, and handling basic garment construction such as seams, hems, pressing, and following multi-step instructions. While the pattern designer describes this pattern as beginner-friendly, we're listing it as adv beg / intermediate because it has more construction steps than a basic first project garment. Materials Provided: Sewing pattern, sewing machines, sergers, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins/clips, marking tools, measuring tape, irons, and instructor guidance throughout the series. Needed: Your own fabric, underlining fabric if desired, buttons, and any additional notions. Yardage requirements are attached. If you need help choosing fabrics, email hello@topstitchatl.com Suggested fabrics: canvas, cotton twill, linen blends, denim, corduroy, wool blends, or other medium-weight woven fabrics suitable for jackets.
