Softneck Garlic - Macedonian Luk

This lovely little softneck garlic produces small bulbs with many layers of small cloves. It is wonderful for braiding and lasts for months or even years. It has a lovely complex flavor and is delicious raw, traditionally it is added to dishes towards the end of the cooking, or a bulb is placed on the table along with the meal for each diner to nibble a clove and add garlic flavor as they like. It came to us by way of our friend Hristina who brought it from her home country of Macedonia sometime around 2023. Hristina and the Macedonian Luk (Garlic) have now made a home and planted their roots here in Michigan and we are beyond delighted to help this special variety make its way in new soils. Quantities are limited as we build up our stock of this rare and special heirloom.
