Riesling • Nahe • Organic • Unfiltered Christine Pieroth's family has farmed in Burg Layen since 1781. Her own label does things differently: wild yeasts, no fining, no filtration, minimal sulphur. This Riesling undergoes a week of semi-carbonic maceration before gentle pressing, then finishes fermentation in old barriques and tonneaux on full lees until bottling in June. It's an unusual approach for Riesling — and it shows in the texture. Fresh, precise, and a little richer than you'd expect from the grape.
