A beautiful Ecclesiastical Panel 17th Century Italy Crimson silk velvet decorated with silk applique within metallic cord borders Central needlework panel depicting a saint, framed within a 17th century silk tassel braid Original part of an Altar Frontal This museum worthy panel is almost 400 years old and of course shows evidence of this immense age Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description On looking inside the panel I can see the saint is a much larger piece which had been folded at the bottom end to fit the opening SIZE 25 inches x 12 inches S5709
