Brazilian Mauser 08/34.30 Short Rifle, C & R

Manufactured by Itajuba, Brazil, this version of the German 1908 Mauser is chambered in .30-06 caliber. Serial number 7469, with matching numbers on all parts except the bolt latch. Stock also matches, with “469″ stamped under the butt behind the sling swivel plate; the butt plate missing and chipped on the bottom right side. Rack marking “327″ in large white letters on left side of butt. Brazilian Crest on top of the receiver. Adjustable rear ramp sight to 2000 meters, front blade sight (side guards damaged, see photo). “CAL ST ALB VT/GERMANY” import mark on front right side of barrel. The importer is Century Arms, Ltd. of St. Albans, Vermont, but curious that it shows the export country as German instead of Brazil. No cleaning rod; rear sling swivel missing, but its plate remains. Shows age, wear, and use, with some corrosion on the barrel; stock sound, with numerous dings and the aforementioned chip on the butt; bore good. The Fábrica de Itajubá was established in 1934, and became a key manufacturer of military equipment for the Brazilian military. Overall length 43 3/4″. Must ship to FFL or Curio & Relic licensee.
