Gabriella Kiss 18k Large Rectangle Dendrite Agate Ring

Details: Framed in 18k gold, this dendritic agate is a beautiful image and one of the most interesting miracles of nature. The background of the agate is a pearly white while the veined traces are are a layered brown in color showing a windblown, feathery center pattern. The stone is polished and interestingly flat-cut. A dendritic agate, often called a picture agate, is a semi-precious chalcedony veined with trace metals or iron ore. The agates form in nodules left behind in ancient volcanic lava rocks. The heat and pressure over hundreds of thousands of years cause the formation of beautiful, tree or snowflake-like patterns inherent in the stone. One of our favorite gemstones, no two dendrites are alike. Measurement: The ring is size 6.75. The face of the ring is just over .85" tall along the finger and .6" wide. Origin: Handmade in the Hudson Valley, NY.
