Great for looking at the fine details of fossils or our small insects in amber. How to use: Unfold the loupe: Swing the silver protective metal cover open completely so it acts as your handle. Anchor it to your face: Hold the loupe up to your dominant eye, keeping the lens roughly half an inch away from your eye. Rest your knuckles or thumb directly against your cheekbone or nose to stabilize your hand. Keep both eyes open: Do not squint or close your other eye. Keeping both eyes wide open prevents eye strain and headaches. Bring the object to the lens: Hold the item you want to inspect in your other hand and bring it up toward the loupe. Do not move your head or the loupe. Adjust focal distance: For a high-magnification lens, the point of clear focus is very close. Move the object slowly closer or further away from the lens (usually under an inch away) until it snaps into sharp focus
