Seal Ring for the Silverfox F-003 Facial Steamer This is the rubber sealing ring that sits between the water jar and the heating-element base on the Silverfox F-003 Classic ozone facial steamer. It is the first part to replace when steam escapes from the sides of the jar instead of going up the steam arm. Part EFPS003. What it does Seals the jar to the base: holds steam in the jar and sends it up the arm to the nozzle. Stops leaks at the joint: rubber loses elasticity, cracks and distorts under repeated heat cycles. A tired ring bleeds steam at the rim. Remove the jar and lift the old ring off its seat. Wipe the seat clean of mineral scale and debris. Seat the new ring flat with no twists, then turn the jar back into the head until the tabs stop. Fill it and run one short cycle to check the joint before your next client. Common questions How often should I replace it? There is no fixed interval. Replace it when you see steam at the jar rim, or when the rubber feels stiff, flattened, cracked or discoloured. Units running all day in a busy treatment room wear seals faster, and hard water shortens seal life. Is this the same ring as the F-800 seal ring? No. The F-800, F-800B and FM-601 steamers use their own ring, part F-800-SR. Order EFPS003 for the F-003. Is the jar included? No. This is the seal ring only. The F-003 jar is part EFP440. Should I replace the seal and the jar together? Often yes. Both are wear parts that age on the same cycles, and a new ring pressed against a scaled or stressed jar can leak anyway. The two together come in under $30. My steamer leaks underneath. Will this fix it? Only if the leak is at the joint where the jar meets the base.
