FOXO4-DRI

FOXO4-DRI (FOXO4 D-Retro-Inverso) is a synthetic research peptide developed for the study of FOXO4–p53 signaling and cellular senescence. It has been investigated as a peptide-based competitor of the FOXO4–p53 interaction, a protein–protein association involved in the survival of certain senescent cell models. In published preclinical research, disruption of this interaction was associated with p53 nuclear exclusion and activation of apoptosis pathways in senescent cells. Subsequent structural research has further characterized FOXO4-DRI’s direct interaction with the p53 transactivation domain.
