Antique Japanese small 2 drawer box Ko - Bako

A fine little ko bako drawer unit with 2 good sized drawers. Made in the early 20th Century. Made from Sugi wood with a beautiful wiped lacquer finish called fuki-urushi which is rich and deep with a patina of age. With 2 nice little copper handles. The drawers are a good size and depth, they can easily fit a phone or special items. It measures 22cm deep x 12cm wide x 18cm high Found in Kyoto on our recent trip in August.
