The condition of this fender Champ is excellent. The exterior Tolex is in good condition with minimal tears or separation from the chassis. Along its 48 years on this planet this particular Champ was built for the American market and power rating. As you can see from the photo's a Step Down transformer has been added to make it usable at 240 volts here in Australia. Tonally through a humbucker guitar you'll hear a nice bit of breakup depending on the volume level. At full volume you'll get some full on distortion that will clean up as you decrease the volume on your guitar. Through a single coil guitar you will get a much cleaner crisper tone. This would be a great recording amp whether it be in a full blown studio or a home studio. The 1979 Fender Champ is a classic 5-to-6-watt "Silverface" all-tube combo amplifier.
