Tasmanian Oak Veneer T&G Wall Panel UV-Coated A/BB is a 15mm plywood panel overlaid with A/B quarter-cut, mismatched Tasmanian Oak veneer with grooves on both sides. Panels are edged on all sides. Tasmanian oak is a native Australian hardwood produced by any of three trees, Eucalyptus Regnans (lat.), Eucalyptus Obliqua or Eucalyptus Delegatensis, when it is sourced from Tasmania. It its harvested in Victoria, from Eucalyptus Regnans and Eucalyptus Delegatensis it is called Victorian Ash or Vic Ash. The species are also widely known by their common names. Eucalyptus obliqua is known as Stringybark or Messmate, Eucalyptus Regnans is known as Mountain Ash, and the closely related Eucalyptus Delegatensis is known as alpine ash or Woollybutt Tasmanian Oak is light-coloured, ranging from straw and amber to light reddish brown. It is widely used in building industry for wall panelling, flooring, cabinetmaking and as reconstituted boards for various applications. Valued for its features and rich straight grain, Tasmanian Oak machines well, making it an excellent choice for high-end cabinetry, furniture, joinery, decorative panels, boiserie, carving, and detailed interior applications. The panel features a wire-brushed surface that introduces refined tactile texture and enhances the play of light across the timber grain. Supplied fully prefinished, the panels arrive ready for installation with no on-site sanding, staining, or coating required. The surface resists scratches and micro-abrasion. Made from sustainably sourced timber, it offers an environmentally responsible option for modern interiors. Face veneer: quarter-cut, randomly mismatched Tasmanian Oak veneer, 0.5 mm thick, wire-brushed. Reverse veneer: Birch BB/BB veneer, 0.5 mm thick. Coating: ultra-low VOC, low-sheen UV-hardened polyacrylate (6 coats). Core: Birch Plywood BB/BB Tongue and Groove: grooves on both sides, 12x2 mm; black plastic tongue, 2x22 mm, supplied separately. Glue: MDI glue (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate adhesive) is a high-strength, moisture-resistant industrial adhesive. Known for enabling zero-added-formaldehyde composite wood products, it provides strong, permanent bonding performance suitable for a wide range of consumer, commercial and construction applications. Applications: commercial fit-outs, cabinetry and joinery, feature walls and doors, wall lining, ceilings, boiserie, premium residential interiors, premium RV interiors. Panels are not suitable for exterior use, wet areas with direct water exposure, or flooring.
