Passion Project
Mwagi's Estate| Nyeri, Kenya | Washed Process | Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Cacao & a Buttery Finish We call this one Passion Project for two reasons. First, for what's in the cup: bright passion fruit core and pineapple up front, balanced cacao notes, and a smooth, buttery finish that ties it all together. It's a coffee that rewards a slow sip. Second, because the name is an ode to us. Passion Project is what this business was before it was a business, something built out of love for coffee before it ever turned into a livelihood. This lot, from Mwagi's estate in Nyeri, felt like the right coffee to carry that name. Origin: Mwagi Estate, Nyeri, Kenya Varietals: SL28, SL34 Process: Fully washed Tasting notes: Passion fruit, pineapple, cacao, buttery finish Brewing Guide: This washed coffee is versatile across methods. For pour over, use a 1:16 ratio (25g coffee to 400g water) at 92–94°C on a medium-fine grind, blooming with 50g water for 45 seconds before continuing. For French press, use a 1:15 ratio (40g coffee to 600g water) at 90–96°C on a coarse grind, blooming briefly before a full 4-minute steep.
