MOTTO series are handcrafted from the cast of an antique 1800s desk wax seal intaglio, each piece contains impressions and mottos with French, Italian, or Latin sentiments. ABOUT The image is of two Trees being separated by a river and the French phrase "En Vain Le Destin Nous Sépare" ('In Vain, Destiny Separates Us.’) Although the river runs between them, it cannot keep the two trees apart.
