Fundraising Extravaganza: Join us for an evening in support of Noelle! Our fantastic and amazing customer service person Noelle was denied government funding for her upcoming semesters at school and so to help her out we've decided to put together an amazing evening of entertainment and yarny goodness with all proceeds going to her! This night is not an evening to be missed, with treats, limited edition yarn, and so much more. Our founder Caroline Sommerfeld will be presenting a fascinating lecture about the history of the craft of yarn production and how it has shaped the modern western world. During this presentation we will go back to the beginning and look at the design and use of spindles, spinning wheels, weaving technology, and knitting, examining along the way how these crafts reflect culture, materials and needs, and how the evolution of these critical technologies has shaped much of western art, literature, and how we think about ourselves today! Exclusive limited edition yarn bases and a custom colourway will also be available for purchase. All the proceeds from the limited edition yarns and half of the proceeds from the custom colourway will go to Noelle and her schooling.
