What the certificate covers The GDTC certificate confirms that the diamonds are natural and states their grading, which is the difference between being told a stone is real and being able to show it. It matters most in two situations: insurance, and resale years from now. The grades themselves are G colour and SI2 clarity. G is near-colourless and reads as white to the eye at this size, and SI2 means inclusions are visible under 10x magnification but not to the naked eye. For solid gold, natural diamonds and a certificate, these are the ones. They are simply different purchases. Care Take them out before swimming, and put them in once hairspray and skincare have dried, since product collecting under a pave setting is what dulls the stones rather than the diamonds themselves. Clean with lukewarm water and a soft brush, then dry fully. Solid gold can be repolished by any jeweller, so surface marks are never permanent.
