Nick & Bas

These special socks were designed by artists Bas Steens and Nick Spiecker. Their friendship began during a collaborative art project in Breda and became the foundation for this unique design. In the illustration, Nick incorporated his personal story. The eye symbolizes anyone facing a difficult situation and carries a clear message: don't look away. The tear represents sadness, the heart stands for humanity, and the musical elements symbolize the hope and strength that music gave him during the time he experienced homelessness. Together, the design tells a story of resilience, connection, and looking out for one another. As Nick puts it: "I'm really proud of it."
