Terre des Dames La Diva 2022

The first wine that Lidewij made was La Dame. She then wanted something more high-end to put next to it, and La Diva was born. The wine is from Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc, which is generally known for robust and rustic reds. This wine couldn’t be any more different. It’s a blend of Syrah, Grenache and a special 100 year-old parcel of Alicante Bouschet. The organic grapes are hand-picked in the vineyard and then hand-sorted in the winery, to make sure only the healthiest grapes get through. The juice is very gently pressed and then spends 12 months in finely-grained Burgundy oak barrels, which gives the wine a lovely softness but preserves all the amazing aromas from the fruit. It's as sophisticated and elegant as reds from the Languedoc get! This wine is just incredible value for money. It’s even served in several 1 to 3 star restaurants in France. So take the money you’re saving on this bottle and splash out on the incredible food that it deserves to go with it!
