The Fujikura 100R is a high-performance ribbon fusion splicer designed for data centres, hyperscale infrastructure, metro networks, campus backbones and other high-fibre-count installations. It can splice single fibres or ribbon fibre, supporting up to 16 fibres when fitted with the appropriate optional V-groove and fibre holders. Fujikura’s Intelligent Alignment Control automatically corrects common fibre preparation and positioning issues before fusion. Auto Placement Correction checks that fibres are seated correctly in the V-groove, Gap Alignment Correction reduces variation between fibre end faces, and Axis Offset Correction improves alignment across the complete ribbon. This helps produce more consistent mass-fusion splices while reducing manual adjustment and operator intervention. The 100R uses self-cladding alignment with surface melting tension and provides typical splice losses from 0.02 dB for multimode fibre and 0.05 dB for G.652 singlemode fibre. Automatic operation covers fibre analysis, splice-mode selection, wind protector movement, clamping, fusion and heater operation. This standard kit includes the Fujikura CT60 fibre cleaver and RS03 thermal ribbon stripper, providing the core equipment required for professional ribbon fibre preparation and splicing.
