Born in Germany in 1961, Frankie Schaufler has lived and travelled across the world, including time spent in India, Berlin and Brazil, before settling in Australia in 1999. For the past fourteen years, he has called the Northern Rivers home. Schaufler’s intricate paintings are created intuitively, without sketches or a predetermined plan. Beginning with fields of colour and abstraction, curious figures, faces and forms gradually emerge, each appearing to possess a character and life of its own. Size 60 x 43 cms
